I have a 12v 2H in my American 62 series. I've had some intermittent starting issues (starter clicks but won't engage, but weirdly tapping the starter fixes it--BUT the starter tests fine every time on the bench). I have new batteries (wired parallel) coming in, but I also want to check if my glow plugs are functioning properly.

I don't know how HJ60s came stock, but I have a momentary button on my dash that activates the glow plugs. It doesn't run through the ignition. Among the things I'm testing is whether activating the glow plugs always causes the no start, or whether it's activating them while the key is at the ON position.

I may end up getting a new starter also, but in the meanwhile, what should the resistance be for the glow plugs? And what's the exact methodology for testing?

Thanks,

Ara Dileepan
