12ht wont run

Hey all,

I have a hj61 with the factory turbo 12ht, i was 4wd the other week end in mud and stuff and my truck was running fine, then it stalled and was very hard to start, thought the elec system was playing up, finally we pull started it and it would only run at high revs cant idle and oil pressure drops off as she gets warm. I have no idea whats wrong any info would be apreciated. oh and i also have a snorkel which is attached well.

i admit i only had a quick look but im not too sure the diesel section helps, which part are u talking about?

by any chance did it suck water in the motor?
oil pressure on my 12ht will go from @ 80 stone cold down to @ 35 at normal running temp,im no expert but i wouldnt be running it until you find out whats going on,check your airfilter etc to see if it looks like it sucked any water in,hope its something simple.
let us know whats going on

Hi thanks for the reply, Nope it didnt suck any water in and the air cleaner is clean, I have done a full oil/filter change, Checked water trap check pre filter before pump and bleed the system. I can get it to run and it blows white smoke have to have accelerator half down to start and when i let it off it just dies, if i hold it there it will run, then start to drop if the pump catches it will stay at the hi rev, as it warms it revs faster and faster but if i let off the accelerator it just stalls, I noticed if i remove the boost compensator line it blows black smoke! it is really strange and im really puzzled,
