I'm in the process of pulling the turbo from my HJ61 to send it away for rebuild. I'm having some trouble getting the turbo off and was hoping some of you might be able to share some advice.

I've removed all the turbo heat shields. I've unbolted the four nuts attached to the exhaust manifold and the three nuts to the exhaust pipe. I've unbolted the coolant lines on both sides of the turbo, and what i think is the oil line directly underneath.

The pipe directly underneath looks like it needs to life up to clear the studs. Meanwhile I need to pull the turbo towards the driver's fender to clear the exhaust manifold studs. I seem to be stuck. Any help is much appreciated!

I was going to suggest removing these circled in blue. That pipe needs to be
cleaned up anyways. I’d replace the two rubber oil lines mine were ok but while you are in there.

Now also while in there, do you also see the engine coolant release valve? Circled in red?
I replaced the nut valve with a butterfly valve with a nozzle so I can slip on a plastic line to
drain the engine block of coolant without such a mess.
