12HT into a HJ75

I’m looking for information on 12 HT swap into a HJ 75 land cruiser Troopy 1986 I have ignition power – light power on the dash, the starter relay it clicks does all those things but I cannot get the glow light on the dash and having trouble hooking up the wires to me oil pressure sender etc.

Terry I take it you have wired the glow screen in to work on ignition on. I fitted the 12ht into my hj75 and never connected the glow screen I’ve had no trouble starting my motor in four years.

When the time comes I was thinking of hooking the glow screen to the wilson switch, what you think ozcruiser?

I don’t think ozcruiser fathoms the temp differences of your respective homes.
That being said, my glowscreen is on a separate Wilson switch. I think you have a webasto
do you not, coldtaco? I have no trouble using mine whenever it’s colder.

What kind of trouble? I would have thought it a simple plug and play for the oil pressure. They all use the same sender

Gday yer i have wired the glow into the ignitio. I. Now have the engine cranking on the key .... so that 1 down. Now i just need to sort the glow system out. Do you know if i can use the 2h pre heat timer for my 12ht

Why couldnt you plug the old oil pressure wiring into the oil presser sensor on the 12HT?

If its cranking it should jump into life without the glow screen, although I can understand why you want it. Is the VSV working?

Yer I did plug it into the old wiring harness. The was some wires that rubbed through and was giving me false readings but now that’s fixed it seems ok. I can post a pic
