A couple of my favorite photos from the easy / scenic trails last year. 😁
** Just kidding about the easy / scenic part.

FOR YOUR PLANNING PURPOSES …….
** What you don’t need…..
1) You don’t need a 70 Series (we welcome all Land Cruisers)
2) You don’t need to worry about evening meals (your host provide those each night).
3) You don’t need to know the Windrock trails (we provide very knowledgeable guides for that).
4) You don’t need 40’ tires and every accessory known to man (we have trails for every experience level).

** What you do need …..
1) Daily permits to access the Windrock property (available online and at the park store).
2) Food and beverages while on the trails (Windrock has a STRONG prohibition against anything alcohol while on the trails.)
3) A mechanically reliable vehicle (if it’s not running properly while sitting in your yard, it’s probably not going to do better at elevation on some trail 😊)
4) A strong desire to have fun, meet some great people and support a noble cause.
5) A place to lay your head at night (Windrock cabins, campgrounds or hotels in nearby Oak Ridge.)
6) Highly recommend packing a camp chair or two.

** Cabins 527, 533, 539 and 545 (hereafter referred to as “command central”) will be the location for all evening activities.

——— I highly encourage you to register early before we reach the vehicle cutoff. ———

In an effort to keep this thread as brief as possible, please P.M. me if you have questions about any aspect of the event.
Thanks

All Land Cruisers are welcome, from 25 Series to 250 Series, including Prados and Lexus variants 😎

Booked my plane tickets, so it’s official!

We will be there representing Terrain Tamer and Valley Hybrids!
Super excited to gibsllly make it out to TN for this event.
And I’m very much looking forward to finally meeting some of my long-term Cruiser friends in person as well as reconnecting with others in our community and spending quality time with our extended Cruiser family.

See y’all in a month!!!!!

Support for this event, both in quality and quantity, is nothing short of amazing. We owe everyone a huge debt of gratitude. 👍

Georg and Terrain Tamer are in good company. Another major sponsor

Great to see some of the West Coast Folks making it to the East!

Thanks again for coming on board with that level of support!

Reach out if you need any local assistance, etc.!

With any luck and some effort, there might just be a West Coast event next year - different organization and organizers but similar model if the I-5 crowd is interested :)

It is pretty rare to see a TLCA sanctioned, club sponsored, non-profit benefit wheeling event going strong after a decade, but this event is an example. It takes a dedicated team (Peter, Sam and Charles) plus clubs, volunteers, sponsors and attendees / returning attendees to turn a good idea into a great event. This year, Georg @orangefj45 and Terrain Tamer are taking the lead as a financial and topic sponsor, along with dozens of industry leaders. Another example, with thanks, to Kurt Williams @cruiseroutfit and the crew at Cruiser Outfitters and Cruiser Teq. That team has bee n a source of support for this event since the early days.

Come to Windrock and learn about our rigs, their care and upgrades and our community.

It’s been brought to my attention that there are folks that can’t attend the event for various reasons, but have an interest in donating to the charity. If that’s the case, please shoot me a P.M. and I’ll provide the necessary steps to do so. A special thanks to those that have already donated.

There is a podcast episode about the memorial up now. Charles Harrell and I speak about the upcoming 10th anniversary of the 70's meet and greet.

You won’t get evening views like this if you stay home. 😁

I don’t recall this being an option at previous events, but these folks were kind enough to reach out to me. They are located at the Windrock Park trailhead and may be a great option for a quick breakfast as well as food on the trails, both Friday and Saturday.
