105 series barn doors not opening

Hi all

Have a bit of a problem, I've got a 105 series with barn doors, I can hear and feel that the key can lock and unlock like normal but when trying to open with the door handle (located above the number plate) it doesn't open, real problem is I can't climb through the back to access it from the inside as I have a cargo barrier installed.

Any ideas very very very much appreciated.

I had this same problem on my first generation Land Rover Discovery, the handle is full of dirt, lube the handle, spray the hell out of it with whatever you have, work the handle, repeat until the door opens.
Once open and working again you need to switch to silicone spray or another "dry" lube, lube the handle from the outside once a month if you drive in dusty conditions often.
Then lube the door stays with bicycle chain lube as it does not attract dirt.
This is very common on the Discovery's and Pajero's as they both have swing cargo doors with outside release handles like yours.
Mine filled with dirt, road grim and road salt. Keep lubed and no problems.
