Has anyone put 100w bulbs in Hella 500 fog lights? I picked some up in a clearance bin, but want to be sure I don't have 'thermal event'. TIA.

Together, the fog lights would be 200 watts which is about 17 amps. So if your wires are 12 gauge, and the fog lights are controlled by at least a 20 amp relay, and if you have high temp connectors at the lights, and if you alternator can handle it, and if the Hella 500s are rated for 100 W you should be fine.
Otherwise, you could have a thermal event.
