Roll call for who's going and when you'll get to GSMTR.

I'll be arriving Tuesday around dinner time. Hope to see a few 100s there!

I should be coming in Thur ! and looking forward to it. To help keep this tech list any mods you have done to prep for GSMTR.......

I am going to try out my 1/2 sleeping platform should be pretty nice in there with a USB fan blowing nice cool mountain air.

This will be the fist trip with the new ARB locker, so I'm pretty excited about testing that out and using the locker. Also it will be the first trip with km2 mt tires.

I'm thinking about getting an inverter from harbor freight to run a fan and lights in camp, Good idea?

In the house! Not 100% certain yet, but will arrive either Wed or Thurs after lunch.

Will be testing comfort on the trail with the family plus rear end clearance from a new bumper

Matt & I lifted his yesterday. We will be arriving thurs lunchtime. Just look for the black Hundy with no bumpers!

Also what difficulty trails are you guys looking to do? Maybe we can organize a 100 trail ride.

I have a mind boggling amount of work to do in less than 48 hours. I won't have time until Monday morning.

-Remount shock res (not sure on location)
-Mount TJM skid plates
-Spring Retainers
-Front limiting straps
-Extended bump stops
-Run cables for auxiliary power
-Oil Change
-Hook up remaining accessories
-Delete deck plate mod (replace with clear polycarbonate)
-Tire balance
- Few other odds and ends

Get working dude....

:)

Here are the things that will probably happen...oil change 15 minutes before everybody is supposed to meet up...show up 45 minutes late. Forgets to use the bathroom and has to stop again.

Haha naw bump stop lowering will happen. I'll make sure of that

And just picked up a 30mm socket to adjust my tbars again! Will have to get an alignment before
Things to do before.
- cb radio antenna mounted
- profender rear shocks mounted
- finish rear drawers
- finish oba lines and mount compressor.
- weld lca skids on
- make nicks bump stops
- change front diff oil.
- adjust tbars

I had a feeling it was that size. 1-1/4" was slightly too big but worked.

What difference do you guys typically run front to back on a lifted setup? 1"?

1" of rake is where the 100 loves to be. 1/2" is probably the best for looks though. If you even out front to rear evenly the truck becomes twitchy at highway speeds. You really have to play with it, each truck is different. I have ran just my 100 at just about every height (stock, 2.75", 2", 1.5", and now 1") and can tell you that 1" of lift and 1/2" of rake is by far the best setup. I keep lowering my truck, always shocked at how much better it rides as I go lower. I am tempted to put the OEM suspension back in, and a very nice shock setup. 35's will fit on stock height, just have to adjust the bump stops for the shocks you are running.

It's hard to improve on the stock suspension as far a ride comfort goes, although that's very subjective. I would like to see what 35s look like at the stock height.

Yes , I agree we will need to plan a 100s run. these trails are long and maps are needed. Would be nice to find someone who knows the area a little to get us pointed in the right direction. I would like to get into the area with the wind turbines .

Haha ya nick and I got turned around last time till we found a couple on a dune buggy. I downloaded the trail map to my iPad and it seems like you can read it pretty well.

That was nothing compared to the time Yeti, Griffin and I got lost. We realized it around 4PM and did not get back to camp until 12:30AM. Between the time we realized how far we were from camp, and tried to take a simple short cut (which turned out to be a double black diamond ATV trail), I had done more damage to my truck than ever before. Steve was pissed and had a bad neck, Griffin was almost out of fuel (on empty when we got into trouble), and my truck was throwing codes and snapping CV's left and right. I have never pushed my truck that hard before. When Steve got stuck (front tire in a crevice, rear end hanging off a cliff) I started to realize we were in trouble. Griffin had is 9,000lbs winch hooked up to my truck, and Steve had his 9,000lbs winch hooked up to my truck. Between a V8 and and 18,000lbs of winch power Steve was pulling both 100 and 40 into him. Every move made Steve's rig closer to the cliff. Griffin's 40 could barely make it around switch backs and squeeze through the boulders...we were dragging the 100's through rocks. It was the impossible somehow made possible. I haven't wheeled since...and I can't wait to go back to Windrock. The most confusing trail system in the word.
