I grabbed a photo of this while in Cairo this week. 105 series that had ladder/steps on the D column. Has a great fit which makes me wonder if it is a Toyota option. Anyone else seen anything like this?

Wow, great find!!! I've been dying to find a ladder solution since I gave up on Gobi - my order has been outstanding since last JUNE and their cust svc on this has been abysmal. I'm not feelin like tearing off that quarter panel though- scary. That and I wanted it on the driver side. Still, something to think about....

Very interesting. I'd like to see how they are attached and supported on the inside.

Ordered mine first week of June. Finally showed up randomly mid-November. Never responded to any requests for updates. I'll definitely not go that route again.

Gobi customer service is complete trash, I used them for my JK ract. It was nice, but it's like they aren't a company post-sale. You get the goods (at some point) and nothing else.

Any chance you changed your plan, went to a back bumper with one for instance, and want to sell it?!? It's not that I can't make one as much as I already am s00o behind on so many things ;( ;)

It's mounted right now. As soon as @benc finishes his second swing out, my ladder will be for sale.

Not trying to dig an old thread up but thought someone may find this interesting. The green color on the plate designates this vehicle as a diplomatic vehicle. When I grew up there the plates looked different in the 90s but had a green designation back then as well for diplomatic plates. We had an embassy issued FJ62 and my parent's personal vehicle which was a W124 Benz. That 62 is what sparked my love for all things Land Cruiser.
