100 series steering wheel on 80 (1 Viewer)

I know the mod can be done. My question is this. Instead of running the radio controls from the steering wheel, how about running your winch controls through it? I'm almost positive it can be done but not sure the amount of work that it would take to run the wiring would be worth it. Any thoughts on this? Or does anyone else have any cool and unique ways to run power to their winch from inside the rig? I know it can be done through the antenna "up and down" switches, any others?

^ Install from a Lexus LS400 into an LX450. According to that a 98-2000 steering wheel has the buttons and would fit, I'm sure it'd just be a matter of ensuring the wiring is done correctly.

I'd say (guessing here) that volume control +/- might be your best bet?

Never did attempt the MOD but I think what I might do is run my winch through my antenna "up/down" switch. I've found that I have a tendency to be very lazy so this may never get done. If anyone has completed this modification let me know what you think about it. Is it worth getting off of my arse and getting it done?
