anyone know what parts i need if i am going to do a rotor replacement on a front wheel?
i'm thinking to do the front wheel bearings when i do this job.
is this kit from SLEE enough? do i need anything in this list from SLEE?
i'm hoping to order parts and then get wherever specialty tools i'll need while parts are in transit.
also anyone got any good step by step walk throughs on this job to complement the diagrams in FSM etc?
THANKS

Might as well do the complete front axle service (pull CV joints, replace axle seals, etc) if you're that deep into it.

yeah. i'm having a hard time with this one.
i could also just pull off the wheel, pull off the caliper, then measure the rotor for thickness?
and try to measure it for runout (it would be the first time i tried this but i'm game)?
then i could put new calipers and pads on?
then do the same for the rears?
or for rears i could do rotors and calipers and pads?
i kind of really don't have the time or head space to tear off a big job right now and finding a home for this work has been a big pain. even if i found someone (which i did) it's a lot of money to add labor on top of parts.
so the thought is always to do the work myself...

Yes i do check and replace twice a year

Its te law here in Israel

Changing a brake rotor is a simple exterior work and if your front axle is in order no need for all of this! you are opening a :worms::worms:
hey Dino.
i really appreciate your help. i also know you know your way around these vehicles.
can i please just ask you while i find time to review some videos a question or two?
this is a pic of an FSM diagram someone posted in a FAQ with a parts list. it's a little hard to read since i can't see the orange on the diagram for some reason.
anyway can you help me with what i am looking at?
"far left" in the middle is axle housing? then well some kind of bell housing in the end of the axle then some kind of ABS speed sensor rotor?( h
then i move up to the top and i start with oil seal end retainer and work to the right til i get to a knuckle spindle?
then bottom is a dust cover and the "axle hub" which has an integral brake rotor?
then there are a bunch of pieces to the right of this that go one which are basically sealing the Axle Hub with Brake Rotor up into the Knuckle Spindle?
it's confusing.
A. like if you just do front calipers or front brakes you just remove and replace the calipers or brake pads?
but
B. if you also also do a brake rotor you also need to disassemble everything at the bottom up until you can see the end of the knuckle spindle?
C. if i search on here i am not looking for a knuckle rebuild since this is the line of parts at the top? so i want to search for a walk though with pictures for "front axle hub rebuild" i guess?
D. are the parts in this wheel bearing kit from SLEE all on this diagram? except for the bearing or where is the bearing?
