Hi all, a friend bought a rear elocker from a 100 series to put in a 40 series, but he cant find a R&P 4.3 to put in front diff or a 4.11 to replace the 4.3 on Elocker , so what option are ?

Thnks

Gears

4.88 would be your only aftermarket option TLC100-488-NG
that way you could easily match the front.

We do sometimes have good used 4.10 or 4.30 OE gears. In fact I have a 4.10, that way you could just regear your 100 series diff to match.

Also the 100 series locker unit is 32 spline, so this is not possible with semi float rear, and if going in a full float rear or front you will need custom axles.

The plus side is that you can put your stock 30 spline side gears into the locker unit and run with 30 spline front or full float rear, again not possible if you are trying to do it in a semi float rear

Send me an email or call and we can come up with a solution for you.

No. If it were fullfloat you could make it work, but not for semi float

A question to bump this back to the top:

Can a open (non-e locked) 100 series third member be used in a FJ40 semi floating rear by swapping the spider gears?
