Hey Mooo....
I've just had a look at the Injen intakes.
Please don't.
That is, unless you're installing a heat shield...the ones I looked at had no heat shields.
I'm referring to another big brand of intake....
I honestly think we would be better looking at maybe leaving the intake side and concentrate on exhaust (youve done that already) and tuning.
Toyota run their engines super fat, which is good incase you run into crap fuel, but there is still plenty of breathing space for a little bit of leaning out, if my 4 litre is anything to go by, it loves running lean lol

As i have the Aussie "cyclonic" style of airbox and the new 4" stainless snorkel i was thinking of using the injen but plumbing it into the factory airbox just to remove all of the factory baffling (basically all of the factory plastic stuff) and hope it improves airflow. The MAF sensor location could be an issue, but i'd probably use the factory location and put a plate over the injen if that part of it cant be removed easily. At $380ish plus shipping it's probably not going to happen anytime soon, but ya never know!!

edit: this is the one i was looking at, but i wouldn;t be using the air filter/cleaner part of it.

That looks better than the first one I looked at....
But I think you will have small tune issues if you change the MAF sensor location in the Injen tube.
I'm just crystal balling....but I've been the guinea pig before, its not so bad lol

yeah i thought about that, but i'd need a MAF extension cable and put a plate over the factory location given it's a part of the airbox lid (i think - i'll have a look on the weekend). But that's ok, i guess i could get a cable made up at an auto electrician and test it with the stock airbox before i go down this path !!

Might want to do a search for "EMS Powered" threads, as predicted, he's out of business for all practical purposes.

Google for BaktashT and ems powered and problems will provide weeks of entertainment going back a decade or so and spanning multiple continents.

It's a shame really, he could have done well, his products were not bad, until recently.
