Just wanted to post and say hello. I have had FJ-60s for the past 12 years and love them - still have one. But I bit the bullet a couple of weeks age and purchased Desert Yeti's DRTHCRZR (see attached link).

My wife wanted something a little more comfortable and with a third row so the kids can each take a friend when we go camping. We do a lot of camping and now have the ultimate go anywhere camping rig.

Awesome! Glad that rig is staying in the hands of a board member! Enjoy.

Thanks Guys! Desert Yeti (Rich) is a real stand up guy, and Bump-It Offroad stuff is top quality.
The family is pretty stoked and we will be planning a camping trip soon. PFran42 - this is new territory for me. I have never bought a landcruiser that I didn't have to first fix up or do some work to. We really like the green (daughter's favorite color), but planned mods are: 1) ladder from BIO, 2) the rear battery is hooked up the rear winch and the solar panes. I was thinking of running cable and switch to the front battery alternator.
Other than that, just looking forward to enjoying the truck. Newbie question - what does Hundo stand for?

Hundy is the word you were looking for... it is gangsta for $100 or short for hundred. Kinda like Fitty would be gangsta for $50 or half of a UZJ-100. ;) Hondo, on the other hand, is a character created by Louis L' Amour. :)

Also, welcome to the group. My idea of not having to modify is pure enjoyment time.... enjoy!

Hundy is stupid as well (it's even in the F.A.Q somewhere). It's a "hundred". CawwwwCawww

Thanks. Where in SoCal are you?

I am in Lake Matthews. Kinda near the 91 and 15. Where are you? I'd love to get a couple SoCal 100 owners together and arrange a venture off-road one day soon.

BTW, if you have any issues with the interior lighting, let me know. I think that rig had one of my kits in it. Since it stayed in the "family", I'll be your POC should you have any premature issues.

It's true. I have all of Paul's lighting and it is great, he stands behind it as well.

Shameless plug. Let me know if your door locks ever stop working. :D

I'll be down for this!

Yeah, great stuff! I might have to order some more since I used all the spare LEDs in the kit in my Mini Cooper too!

Yeah Eric, we will have to pull something together. Lot's of good local stuff to choose from. Nice meeting you the other day BTW.

It's true. I have 4 of Jon's door actuators and they are top-notch, he stands behind his products...(well he sits to the side of his products when they are installed).

I am in Aliso Viejo, next to Laguna Beach. Sounds great - I would be up for it!

Thanks. I had no idea. No wonder the interior lights are so bright.:beer:

Hmm. They seem to work fine now, but the drivers door was working only intermittently when I picked the truck up in Tuczon (107 degrees) and when we had a hot spell the weekend I brought it home. Do they tend to start going out when it it hot out? If so, I should probably order a couple.
