This has me thinking. What if you graphed on a classic 70 series grill, hood and front 2 fenders on a 100 series?

Is there an artist out there that could do this and post a picture?

I am thinking this 70 series grill and fenders on a 100.

70 series.webp

I still don't get how RL can deliver a turn key, FZJ80 + stretched Aqualu tub for less than $50K.

That troopy has me drooling. Love the high tops.

I don't think the lines will match at all.

There are some good looking 80's in Japan with 60 front clips grafted on though.

Funny this is being brought up. I've never liked how the 100 looks. It looks lame. Just my opinion. The older boxier body styles are nice. Land rover body styles are nice. 100 series? Bleh. Bland. Like a sandwhich without mayo or mustard. It will fill you...and nourish you...but it's just bleh.

Really??? I'm all for the box bodies, but I love me some rounded 90's cars too, and the 100 series is the bees knees!

The LX looks a little more "modern", I suppose. Having owned a 40 and a 60, there is no way I'd go back to either without the kind of mods RL and ICON are doing.

I'd love a diesel 76 series.

You and eeeeeeeverybody else...

I think it's of greater allure in Texas where the obvious value of 25+ mpg would really pay off over long distances..If you haven't checked out the website of DieselToys there in SA, you should...it does sound enticing to have a Diesel LC..

My wife disagrees with this statement. She hates the look of the 70s series; I know since I tried to import one a few years ago (veto!).

I think I need to pull a @Muddy Bean and lay off the skinny pedal to save some clams on gas.

Speaking of concepts, I wouldn't mind seeing a 100 series application of the CampTEQ pop up camper from the 80 series. For about a third of the price too. I'm dreaming.

How about some way to work in some round headlights and then Toyota written across the grill? A retro makeover of the front end would be sweet. Leave the rest.

When I get an extra 25k, the 100 is going to Dieseltoyz for 1HD-FTE. ;<)

The 100 has everything I want in a truck. Just turned 219k this week.

It just needs the look. I think the easiest is a Bullbar to change the whole appearance for the better.

Yota, it's just my personal style choice I guess. I see defenders and something about how they look steals my attention. I
Love
Our 100 but it doesn't evoke the same feeling as when I see older cruisers running around. Just me. :-/

@uzj100 if you give me a picture of a 100 with a similar color and angle I might be able to photoshop something if that's what your'e looking for. I'm not a professional so no promises on quality but it may give you a rough idear.
