Hi,

I have 2005 model 100 series front and rear axles. Has anyone tried putting them on a 120 series (in the front I'd like to put the differential only, and in the rear the whole axle since it's stronger and comes with an electrical locker).

Any help welcome :-)

I am assuming that you have a prado!

Never seen it done but interested to see what you can do with it

I would have thought the 100 series rear axle would be stronger.

Unfortunately you cannot put the 100 series axles in a 120 series. The cv shafts between the two trucks are completely different along with the spindle assembly. The 120 series uses a unibearing design for the spindle and the ABS system is completely different as well.

As for the rear axle even though they share the same suspension design you'll find that they are not in the same location and the axle widths will be different.

IIRC, the gx and t4r 4th gen have the same chassis as the fjc. Maybe you can look into seeing if an SFA kit will work for your gx. There are a lot of FJC and t4r that have them
