Fish, great rigs to take up north :). I typically go to a to be unnamed river but after about 13yrs missed a couple. I hope to get up again this Nov.

I am surprised the MPG isn't a little better than my 80. Not that we by these trucks for fuel economy. My economy doesn't drop below 16 until 70mph. Now stop making a case for a Sequoia or 200 :). One benefit, I'll never make up the difference in purchase price in fuel savings.

agreed - I take my 100 up to the Skeena (2-3,000 miles total) every year and it's the perfect rig for chasing chrome on those rivers. I'm in Seattle by the way, let me know if you want to talk fishing
s*** I wanna talk fishing. I'm in Colorado, thinking about putting a trip up to the Skeena in spring. Ill probably rent a rig outa Seattle. Any thoughts? Hey what kind of milage do you get on the highway in the 03. I don't trust a man who doesn't fish, these fools will tell you 12, or 22. I'm looking at one here after the new year. I thought about a v8 runner, but unless its way better mileage, I'm a cruiser guy.

I've owned an 80 series and now own a 100 series. I sold my 80 because the primer started to fade and I was 21 and as foolish as they come. Not a day goes by that I don't regret selling that cruiser. I love my 100, but IMHO it's just not the same feel. If you can find an 80 in good condition, jump on it... they wont be available much longer.

If you know someone looking my 80 will be up. Without being a goober its about the cleanest 80 you will find with over 150K, it sits at 242K now. Unless I stumble across the 100 I want, with elk, deer, pheasant, and steelhead combined with work travel I'll be home 4 full days in Oct. I fully get the 80 love, I could get over the speed for the couple trips a year but I also want a parger boat. Anyone tow a Sea Sport 24 Explorer??

90 mph+ 100 mph+? "handles great" You guys are high. No. A 100 does NOT handle great at 90 or 100 mph. It may feel great at 100 mph. It may ride great at 100 mph. But it does not handle great at 90 mph. ANY steering input beyond the slightest, gentlest lane change... and you're rolling over and over... and over. Anywhere near those speeds, you're not driving the 100... you're aiming it.

The 100 is an awesome truck. But if you're regularly driving north of 90 or 100 mph AND even thinking about mpg, you're looking at the wrong vehicle. Maybe a Cayenne?

Haha, I agree.

The 100 is an acceptable hwy vehicle at moderate speeds, but even my Duramax on the same size tires is a better hwy performer. 100 doesn't have the wheelbase(length or width) and center of gravity for stability or the high end power/torque for passing/climbing at speed.

That said, I do enjoy the 100 on 2 lane blacktop and backroads, where I'm usually doing less than 80. Not so much on the interstate..., but I didn't buy/build it for highway travel.

Manhattan, let me clarify a little. I won't be regularly driving those speeds it will only be on the free/express etc ways. Handling is subjective just like "hot chicks". I have looked at the Cayenne Turbo, couple things I have issue with 1, space it's small, 2, wheelbase is short for towing (same as the 100), 3, just feeling like a douche for taking a Cayenne hunting or fishing, If I went that route I would debadge or rebadge Hyundi (it looks like one anyway). My regular driving isn't much I live on a island. For regular high speed like that I agree 100%.

Put some sliders and skid plates on to lower your center of gravity and it will handle better at higher speeds, of course gas mileage :{
