Not to confused OEM and OME (old man emu). I was about to pull the trigger and get OEM Shocks from Toyota (all four corners)
and 1.5" Rear spring from OME2865 and OME standard 30.4mm OME303001 torsion bar

Just before I pulled the trigger a friend texted me said that if I use OEM Toyota shocks there will be not enough travel? and I have to use limit strap? is that correct?

Thank you

I just ordered the shocks from toyota partsdeal.com

Pair of 48511-69466 $50 each and a pair of 48531-69556 $24 each 😱

Shipping is $40

Total is $186 for all four corners. Good deal 👌

I can't find the part number properly on decatur website unfortunately. I keep giving me an alternate part number and a red words that says May not fit your selected vehicle.

Swapping ahc torsion bar with a closer spec to regular torsion bar

Rear shock part number 48531-69556 Discontinued 🤦‍♂️

Ok Lets reset, Toyotaparts deal does not have rear shock 48531-69556

I am hoping this is the correct rear shock 48531-69835

And I read some horror story for toyota parts deal. So I am ordering from Decatur... Wish me luck. 4 hours left for 25% off and free shipping

I've been following this thread. Was considering doing Bilstein B6 4600 shock upgrade but hard to justify when you can get OEM shocks for these prices. My rig has 138K miles...what other parts would you suggest ordering with OEM shocks besides OME springs? thx

I replaced the rear springs in my LC with 2865s BC I couldn't get new original springs then, they were back ordered for months. No issues with the Tokico shocks but they're not a 100% match..
If the time machine existed, I'd probably add thin spacers on the original springs to regain some height back to stock, since I added airbags for when I'm loaded anyways.

I DID add a 10mm a slee spacer on the driver's (gas tank) side since the OMEs are same height, and the OEMs are side specific.

many thanks

Will this setup and the same part numbers work for a 2001 LX470, with working AHC?
My tires are cupping and I'm thinking of replacing the shocks and springs, keeping it mostly OEM for now

Been running this setup for a year now, but with OEM torsion bars. Only caveat... and this might've been unique to me... but my local shop was not able to get a good alignment with the factory UCAs and a 1.5" lift. I later bought the OME UCAs and was able to get the 1.5" lift I desired and alignment in spec.
