08 FJ Cruiser info for UK buyer

Looking at an 08 FJ here in the UK where they are a rare beast so I've browsed the forum for info. I see that there were some issues with drivetrain on the 07 plates... would this be true of the 08 too? I haven't too much spec, it is auto and dash has an Auto LSD switch and a RRlock switch. I thus assume that it is a part time version? I want to put dogs in the back can anyone tell me if any of the rear glass opens please. Anything else useful please. Many thanks

Glass at the rear door opens but not the small side doors windows

The back glass does pop open but not the clamshell door glass. I believe the MT is full time and the AT is part time and I have not heard of the 08 models having the same issues as the 07. That LSD switch sounds awesome though.

Is this a 4wd? The LSD switch comes on the 2wd and someone may have just plugged the dash hole with a switch that does nothing. Something to verify...

I have been wondering about that.... there is no Transfer lever on the tunnel, just a single auto shifter. But I couldn't find any reference to a 2WD in auto on Toyota's website but then that's for current year.??

Reckon you're right, I'd no idea there was such a thing! (Why-who wants a 2WD!!). Thanks, as said I had been wondering why no Tbox lever but know little of these in the UK.
Shame it looks just right otherwise.
