Hi. I'm new here. Not exactly sure if I should be starting a new thread or how I should initiate my question...
Big fan of Toyotas new and old.
My 07 Tundra (145k mi.) has never given me any major issues AT ALL. the other day I used it to jump start my kids' ATV which has the smaller battery. This was maybe a BAD idea. After I got the ATV going my Tundra dash was lit up like a Christmas tree with a lot of the warning lights on. I disconnected and re-connected the positive battery cable which made them all go off EXCEPT the check engine light. I've had it in at the local shop for diagnostics and they are telling me its the secondary air pump and possibly the injector valve. Since they recommend replacing both air pumps at the same time, their quote is over $3500. (I can buy the parts myself and save some, but it's still a big bill). I feel like I just need some second opinions on this.

Thanks!!

update...
found a bypass kit to disable the air injection system... seems to be a common problem. If anyone else wants to disable and save a lot of $, contact Paul at Hewit-Tech in SC.

FYI: skyblue, you were probably out of the extended warranty by time- but

Toyota extended the warranty for the secondary air injection on 2007-2010 Tundras to 10 years (from date of first use)/150,000 miles. whichever occurs first.

They fail often
