Dealer 06 4Runner — Curious if it's worth the price? (1 Viewer)

Hi y'all — new to the forum, and looking for a GX470 or a 4Runner in Portland, Oregon. There's a dealer here selling an '06 4Runner, single owner, 189K miles, for sale for $18K that looks sharp and in line with what I'm looking for. They said the timing belt/water pump were just done too.

Curious if folks with more expertise can chime in to say whether or not it's worth the asking price?

Did the salesman told you the TB/WP was replaced? Did you ask for a proof? If it was a V8 yes it will have a TB not the V6 its a timing chain driven engine. About the price I'm not sure unless I get it inspected top to bottom and history checked.

Check in with the FJ cruiser guys and ask about timing chain issues, I know that a few of them have replaced chains due to wear.

Just got off the phone with the dealer, they noted that the chain was clear.

Seems a bit high. It is clean though.

Seems high given the mileage. You can get into a similar year GX470 with less miles for less than that.
