4peanut, is that all of the mods that you have done to your LC, just tires, spring spacer, cranked torsion bars and drop diff.? i think i am going to do the exact same thing to mine. Once again no handling issues after you cranked the torsion bars? Also I assume you had an alignment done?

I also removed the "V8" emblem from the tailgate. Does that count?

A small adjustment (e.g. one full turn of the adjusting bolt which equals about a .25" ride height change) shouldn't throw your alignment out of whack. Anything more than that and you will definitely want to have your alignment done, for safety and to avoid premature tire wear.

As far as handling, if you go too high and don't have enough droop (minimum equals 60mm = 2.362 inches = approximately 2-23/64 inches which is pretty darn close to 2-3/8 inches), your shocks will top out and lift a wheel or wheels. I am at 21" from hub center to fender lip and things feel much better than at 21.75". Others have found 20.5" to be the right height for them (spressoman). YMMV.

4Peanut, any tips on taking off the running boards. I am going to try it this afternoon.

Wear eye protection and keep your mouth closed. There's going to be a lot of dirt that falls off the running boards and brackets. Other than that, just slide under there with your socket set (no need to jack the truck up, though ramps would give you a little more working room).

from our PM, figured I'd share it on here as well

wear some glasses or goggles, lots of dirt in there. The furthest rearward bolts do not come out, the boards slide backward and come off after all the other bolts are out. Make sure you screw the bolts back after removal so no water or gunk gets inside and causes rust

Srkpaco - most things on these rigs are surprisingly easy. Just crawl under there and get started. You will be surprised how easy it is. I dont remember exactly, but it is like 4 bolt per side. If any of the bolts seem stuck or really corroded, hit with some PB Blaster and soak it while you move on to the next bolt. You will probably spend more time on here researching and asking questions about it then just doing it...
