04 LC help

I'm looking at a 04 LC for sale and when I climber under it the front skid plate was pretty rusted out.

Question is should I be worried about it. The rest of the vehicle looks pretty good.

Is it just that part thats rusty? If so, then remove it and get another..

I dont like that pic with the spring. It looks like it being eaten away internally... the rest looks okay tho. Someone with more experience should chime in shortly.

Rather odd looking. My '04 has some rust, but it's mostly a thin surface rust and there's no placed rusted through like the one you're looking at. That rusted out front engine undercover and the rust in the frame hole near the spring are really bad, where the other pics seem ok. I wonder why the difference. I can see why you asked. The undercover can be replaced, but if there are other rust-rotted frame holes, you may want to reconsider that one.

The other LC I was looking at is a 1 owner never wrecked 2004. But it has 184k on it.

that rust spot is not a problem, check under the hood where the battery - did the battery exploded back in time and acid eate the pan

I'd say that is a nice relatively rust free rig! I'd be happy if mine looked that clean underneath. The front skids all rust. There is some foam on the other side that holds water (at least on mine there is and I have similar rust, albeit not as bad as that skid plate is but rust in same spots).
