ok guys im on the edge of my seat. I want to buy the 03+ bumper for my 2002 LC.
Is it just a matter of cutting of the tabs and that's it?
will i need any welding/heavy customizing or will it be fairly simple?
Please advice...again 03+ bumper for 2002 Land cruiser. What do i need to know. thank you all

Summary of this thread:

The '03 ARB combo bar will fit all IFS '98-'07 100's.
All installs require trimming of the frame horn tabs.
Installation on LX's also require the removal of the upper, antenna tabs.

Simple as that.

Installed this bumper on my LX470. Cut the tabs off and followed ARB's instructions for an easy install.

I took extra time and ground down the tabs, bondo'd and painted with satin black.

I'm planning to have Slee put one on my 2000 lx470 when I get my front diff bushings done this spring. Being ancient and with a heart issue, don't do much heavy lifting anymore. Lifting my 500 Jeffery and a double Laphroaig cask proof is about my limit.

Thanks for this post, It helped a lot.

I just wanted to update it a little bit, there is a option that you don't need to cut the ARB light mount upper tabs.
Behind the grille, there are two metal supports. I carefully bent them back a tiny bit and done, no cutting.

Hey Diego.....do you mind pointing out which metal supports you bent back? I think I know which ones you're talking about based on your photos....but to me it looks like you'd be angling the grille straight down by bending those tabs. Just looking for some clarity thanks!

I purchased an '03+ ARB Combination bumper to install on my '98 LX. A bit of a risk since it is specifically for a Land Cruiser but I thought I'd give it a try. Actually, it was easier than I thought it would be. I would estimate it takes just an additional 30 minutes over the regular install time depending on how well you "finish" and paint the upper bull bar where the two antenna tabs are removed. The two tabs on the upper bull bar need to be removed in order for the LX hood to clear when raised.

Pic#1, Locate the two frame horns. The lower portion will need to be trimmed carefully with a cut-off tool.

Pic#2, shows what exactly needs to be cut.

Pic#3, modified frame horn done as explained in the ARB instructions.

Great look. I'm wanting to install an ARB on my 1998 LX 470 as well. Do you know the specific part # through ARB for this bumper? I'm wondering if it is the #3413190?

I'm also wanting to install an Old Man EMU light duty lift so I can throw some larger wheels and tires underneath. Any help with the AHC suspension system would be great!

I'll post some pics and information once I dive in!

Thanks for the help!

^^^ Part number is correct. You can get a bit of lift with what you already have. Search "AHC Lift"

What type of winches are you guys running with these 03+ ARB bumpers?

I hear there is a space limitation that prohibits a WARN Zeon 10s Platinum winch.

I went with a Comeup 12.5rs. Fits great.

Where is the limitation? If it is the control pack on top, you can remove and mount it elsewhere.

Don't know. I talked to 4WP looking to buy a 10-S Platinum. The rep said it was too big for the ARB bumper and to go with a smaller WARN VR EVO 10 S.

I'm asking.. :)
