'02 new frame coming - what to do/buy before (1 Viewer)

My '02 108,000mi Tacoma SC 4x4 is getting a new frame in 30 days.
Any thoughts on what I should do/buy before the dealer pulls this truck apart? I'm thinking shocks and perhaps clutch and if the dealer allows - poly bushings.
I am quite fond of this truck -

it works well for my needs.

Well other than what you listed I'm not sure what you should do...guess it really depends on what kind of money you want to sink into her. I am curious as to why the new frame though.

Toyota is going to warantee the frame for rust through.
With the new frame they are including rear springs, control arms, and brake lines.

Do not do poly bushings. They will fall apart in a year or two. I'll never use poly bushing again. Stick to good ol' OEM rubber.

What's your weather conditions?

I put all poly in mine right after the first of this year. Well...leafs, upper, and lower control arms. I got some extra grease and totally covered them, not just the friction points.

I'm hoping to find out tomorrow if the dealer will agree to install anything other than OEM parts during this swap.

Paint and undercoat the frame is all that comes to mind.

I have given some thought as to how to protect the new frame.
When this is scheduled will be big time snow/salt season here also.
Yes - Dana frame. From what I've been told they screwed up the protective coating - the steel and the design was ok.
