EDIT - UPDATED INFO AND PICS
I have a '01 4Runer with 179k on it. I bought it earlier this year but have decided I need another 3rd row seat rig that can also tow boats. (I'll be damned if I'm going to take out my gear trays in my 80.
) I found a 100 series LC that I want and I don't have the time to nickel and dime a doing a part out of this thing.
The Good:
- VERY clean shape. Texas rig that has only spent 1 year in WA / ID. I'm the third owner. Immaculate Carfax, original owner had all major service done religiously on it. I even called the dealership to verify. My first Texas rig and I was in shock at how clean the under carriage is. No rust or corrosion anywhere. If you've seen me around the board and watched my '99 Runner build and my current LC you know I don't mess around when I buy something.
- 2nd Gen TRD supercharger with TRD headers. (Over $3,500 new)
- 4WD w/ VTRAC - VSC
- Leather
- Sunroof roof
- Heated seats
- Compass / dimming mirror
- Auto Up / Down windows
- Tow package
- Rear cargo cover
- Cargo liner (Weathermax)
- Brand new Hankook 265/75/16 AT's. (Paid $550 less than 500 miles ago.)
- New brakes last year. (Pads and rotors.)
- New belts this year.
- Great stereo - Separates in all 4 doors, Pioneer Premier Deck w/ XM & Ipod control, and 5 channel Rockford Fosgate Amp painted to match rig. Also 10" Eclipse in custom box. (Over $3,500 new.)
- "Brush Guards" on front, rear, and tail lights. (Smittybuilt style but painted silver to match. $700+ new.)
- Factory front mats.
- IPF Fog lights
- OEM fog lights
- Sunroof wind deflector
- Carbon fiber "TRD Supercharged" logos.
- 'VIN Match' Security package. Almost every major part has a VIN stamped to verify if its been tampered with.
- Keyless entry / alarm.
The Bad: (Keep in mind I'll do OCD disclosure here. I don't like surprises if I'm driving to pick up a rig.)
- 179k mostly Texas HWY miles.
- No locker. (But the traction control does work pretty slick.)
- Power antenna doesn't work.
- Crack in bottom of windshield. (Doesn't affect view at all.)
- PO bumped another car in a parking lot and the "brush guard" pushed into the front fender causing a 4"x4" dent and 2"x2" paint scrape. Brush guard covers it up. Also a small 3" diameter scuff in the plastic bumper from the same incident. I have a buddy who does dent repair that could at least fix the dent portion before sale. I included a pic of this below.
- 1" tear in the rubber along the passenger's window frame.
- If you are picky it could use new shocks and steering stabilizer. You get a slight bounce over speed bumps, and some bump steer that can cause the brush guard to vibrate a little. I was about to spend $500 and just do a OME 2.5 lift on it, but decided to put it off. I have no issues having my wife drive it as a DD with out 3 little ones in the back.
- 2" tear on outside edge of driver's seat next to controls. Could be easily stiched.
- Light bulb behind the "D" shift indicator is burnt out as well as the bulbs in the climate control display.
- If you look hard there are a handful of minor dents in the roof, my guess is hail being its a Texas rig.
I think that's it.
Only trade I'm interested in is a 99+ 100 series cruiser or LX 470. Under 150k preferably. Must have third row and would prefer tow package.
For an outright sell price, looking for $9,999 OBO. This is just below clean retail NADA so you are getting all the goodies for free. Stereo and supercharger could make that negotiable if you want it for much less. I'd be willing to travel to make a deal work. Probably within 200 miles of East Washington.
Best to email me. (shanefuller "at" comcast "dot" net
Here is a link to pics. I'll get more interior shots when I have a chance to get all my wife's crap out of it. :ignore:
