Purchased my first 2000 LC a few weeks ago and started going through it... 247k miles with documented maintenance records from dealer and previous owner.

Looking forward to the adventures!

Welcome to the Forum! Make sure the heater "T"'s (located next to the brake master pump by the fire wall) have been replaced, if not, it is th priority number-1. IF the top radiator tank is brown and have hair-line like small crack) it also needs to be replaced!
I do come to Canyon lake once in a while!

Enjoy!

Nice rig! Where in Round Rock are you? I'm in Mayfield Ranch (north side of 1431 between Ronald Reagan and 35) and have two 100s! Also, we are having a Land Cruiser gathering at Frontyard Brewery in Spicewood on Saturday, April 20th. There will be lots of Land Cruisers (always had between 70-100+ Cruisers there) including plenty of 100 series, it's free, family and dog friendly and the venue is fantastic. Hope to see you there!

Thanks, excited to be here! Appreciate the heads up, those have been replaced within the last 25k miles. I haven't noticed anything with the radiator but I'll give another check to be sure. I'll have to check the maint schedule for the heater T's, might be time again!

Sweet! I am behind Dell Diamond in Settlers Crossing. What time does the shindig start? I'll see what I have going on, thanks!

Starts at 10AM, usually goes for 3-4 hours but people stay for as long as they can.

Maintenance updates...

Shop (247843mi):
- Rear passenger axle seal
- Rear brake rotors and pads
- Rear diff fluid

Home (248025mi):
- Front diff fluid
- T case fluid
- Oil change
- Oil filter
- Third brake light replacement

Sending oil to Blackstone for analysis, curious for those results.

Wasn't supposed to rain and I had big plans for Hundo. Wanted to get through front diff mount, lower support bushings, and upper support bushings. Was able to just get the front diff mount out and the new one in.

IMG_9023.jpeg

The front diff mount was toast! All the rubber was gone... so out with the old...

In with the new...

Once the rain stops, may have time to do the rest, but I'll take this as a win today.

Cheers 🍻

After getting everything torqued down, went for a drive and happy to report "the clunk" is gone!!!

Cheers 🍻

Working on recovery before a shakedown run.

Installed:
- Ironman 4x4 rated recovery points

Recovery gear:
- Fiery Red kinetic rope 1" x 30'
- Fiery Red soft shackles (two)
- Hitch recovery (two)
- Yesper 12v battery jumper

That's the kit for now, just basic recovery. Any additional suggestions welcome!

Weekend update...

Installed JVC CS-DR621 6 1/2" speakers in the front and rear. The originals weren't terrible and I didn't see any tears, just some dust. I did find a bonus paint brush in one of the door panels 😆

Relocated the front diff breather higher in the engine bay. Also relocated rear diff breather to behind gas filler.

Steering rack bushings... 😖 Managed to get the big bushing done but couldn't press out the other two. Put it back together and will have to figure a different way.

Next up are front and rear extended sway bar end links... then time to hit some trails!
