This was the last major thing to do for now. Time to set up a shakedown run!!!

Took the LC out to Hidden Falls Adventure Park in Marble Falls. Met up with some other Toytoas and had a blast!

YT link for some clips

Cruiser did great. Had a squeak that sounded like a shield of some sort, but worked itself out and I didn't see anything when I got under there. Really looking forward to hitting some harder stuff on the next outing!

Added a little punch to the sound system. Picked up an Amazon special 8" powered subwoofer to put under the passenger seat where the factory amp went. Also took some time to clean up the wiring. It's not going to make any hair dance, but added just the right amount of bass to balance out the sound profile.

Final workday before trip!

Got my front and rear bumper done at ATX Offroad (@atx_offroad on IG) and couldn't be happier.

Many thanks to TTTS&M (@AverageTanner) for helping with the winch wiring and wiring cleanup under the hood.

Eventful day before I leave...

Hundo died a couple miles from the house. Pulled the battery and Autozone tested bad, ok not so bad. Buy replacement and install, yay 12.3 volts. Drove home, volts no bueno. Alternator no bueno 😢

Back to the zone for the alt. Watch YT, try to remove, watch more YT, curse a lot, remove old alt. Yay... now reverse Tetris to get the MFer back in. More cursing. And we're in. Get everything tightened down and back together.

Crank it up and we got 14+ volts baby!!! Let's go... around the block. Felt a lil funny... then I looked down and behold, Xmas lights all over the dash. WTF 🤬

Scanner says cylinder #7 misfire 🙄

Grab my extra and pull the #7 coil and what do my wondering eyes do see, a crack the size of a Xmas tree.

Install new Denso coil, button her up and try again. Clear the codes and away we go. Fired right up, sounded 💯 better, took it around the block and man does it feel great.

This was day 0 of a 2200 mile trip. Leaving tomorrow!

Hundo did great in Moab! Hit Fins n Things and Hells Revenge. I did not attempt Hells Gate this trip.

Other than realizing a snorkel would have been great, trip was amazing. Here's some wheeling videos from the trip.

After I returned, got my results from last oil change from Blackstone. It got a clean bill of health. Spent a solid three hours cleaning the intake and replacing the air filter. Snorkel will be on the Xmas list 😆

Started hearing some popping and cracking driver front. Figured the cv was starting to go. Got the cv replaced and no more snap, crackle, pop.

They did a really good job on the bumpers. Love the tube style. Awesome build and thanks for sharing adventures. Fun to read this early monday haha

Learned a lot about Hundo since the last update and done a few things along the way. Mostly routine oil changes and fixing things here and there. Ive been enjoying just driving, ha. Heading to Utah with my two youngest kids early July.

Since the last update:
- Replaced the other CV
- Fan clutch (Aisin)
- Fluid change (oil, atf drain and replace, front/rear diff, transfer case)
- 4 Auxbeam spots
- Wireless switch panel
- Added fan to transmission cooler
- ~262k miles (owned ~15k)

Some pics since last update.

Decided to pull the trigger on solar.

- Renogy 120 watt ShadowFlux panel (16bb)
- Victron 15 amp 75 volt bluetooth solar charge controller
- Updated power box wiring

I decided to try locking pins on the front panel mount so I can rotate the panel when parked. My concern is the rattling when on trail.

Install was pretty easy and the Victron app is pretty slick and I've had everything connected for all of 2 hours... maybe LOL.
