emergency brake

I have an emergency brake dash light that comes on when its really cold when I first crank it but goes off once the truck seems to get warmer. It usually stays on for a minute or two then goes off. It also may come on for 20 seconds or so once warm but always turns off. Any ideas?

I need one stud for my emergency brake. Size is an M8. It is for a 1965 FJ45 LPB. I have not checked with Napa etc... but if someone can tell me if they might have it that is what I will do. Just thought someone might have an extra or can point me where to get one. I am located in Newnan...

In order to use the stock emergency brake on my upgraded 55, is it possible to use the three speed brake assy on a newer FJ40 4spd? fj55 pict note the brake cable is on the passenger side vs a newer 4spd has the cable on driver side pointing in opposite direction.

I am currently changing out my emergency brake on my 71 (3spd) fj40. I have inclued pictures, when I'm trying to remove the retaining nut the whole brake drum moves. The truck is in 1st, e brake disingaged, retaining nut (castle nut) not even budging. Any help I would gladly appreciate.
