In this thread i will show the start to finish prep and installation of 2badfjs sliders for the 60/62 series land cruisers.

I received my sliders about 10 minutes ago. 2bad told me he would build and send the sliders to me in 3-4 weeks which is exactly the time frame in which i received them. im sure it could take longer or shorter based on how busy he is and for many other reasons so dont necessarily expect the same time frame.

My sliders came pre-primered and with all hardware and instructions necessary.

Here is exactly what the sliders came with
2 slider LH/RH, 6 mounting plates, 12 bolts, 12 nuts, 12 flat washers, 8 nylon spacers, 8 fuel line bolts, 8 washers, 8 lock washers

anyway here are the pics...

so the next step for me is to get some coats of paint on these 2bad sliders and then bolt them up.

i will post more pictures as progress continues and will have a detailed installation writeup

btw i am very very impressed so far

How much did it end up including shipping? Looks super sweet!!

550 shipped. half down before and other half shipped.

just something to think about... 2bad hinted at a possible increase in steel prices which could change the price of the sliders down the road.

is the dog extra?

the dog was received with a ups sticker on its nose and was an extra $50

so yes the dog is extra :flipoff2:

thanx tom, the increase has already happened. was'nt enough to effect prices.

now me getting internet at home may constitute an increase...

Moab Tested and Approved!

I can assure everybody that Jim makes a beefy slider!

Here's a pic of his sliders saving my rockers in Moab.

My 62 is a stocker so protection is valued, they got a bit scraped up but no damage whatsoever.

Thanks again Jim!

so those bolt right on? (i know im jumping the gun here...)

how much weight is added to the vehicle with these?

one love
jah bill

yes these are bolt on. in the future i may weld them on just because i like overkill.

ups said the sliders were 40 pounds a piece and then the hardware box said 10 pounds

I did the first layers of paint. I am using DupliColor spray paint. Jim said he used duplicolor primer so i figured why not. anyway i suspended the sliders in the air and then lightly sanded both. right now i have about 2 coats on both. It got too dark out to paint anymore and i ran out (1 can). when i get off work tomorrow i will buy a couple more cans and then put an additional 2-3 coats of paint on. I want there to be plenty of paint on because these things will be out in the elements from 110 degrees to negative 40. ice rain snow and rocks

2 coats of paint

2badfjs-- do you think i should paint the mounting plates too? they look pretty good already.

everyone else-- if you ever want any fullsize pictures (2272 x 1704) of any of these just let me know. this is probably more important in the installation and completed form

Wow! Those look great and you can't beat the price considering other sliders I have seen. Can't wait to see the finished product on the FJ.

Very nice work 2badfjs.
