The '06 East Coast 4Runner Jamboree will be held from August 18-20 at Paragon Adventure Park in Hazleton, PA.

Planning got started sort of late, but things are underway and more info will be coming soon.

For those who haven't been before, and may not have heard about it, EC4RJ is an informal event open to anybody with a 4WD Toyota.
There will be guided trail rides each day, for drivers of any skill or experience level. Whether you drive a shiny new truck on stock tires or a fully tubed out Toyota buggy, there will be a group for you.

More details to come, but here is the basic info:

*Cost will be $35 for one day, $60 for two days, or $80 for all three days. (This is the park entrance fee. There are no other fees required to attend).

*There will be a raffle, probably on Saturday night. National and local vendors are providing some great raffle prizes. Details for the raffle are still being determined.

*Camping will be about 10 minutes from the park at Red Ridge Lake Campground. Their usual camping fees will apply.

To register send an email to EC4RJ@yahoo.com

Check back soon for more up to date info...

I missed the '05 event, but attended '03 and '04. Will try to make this year. Thanks for posting the details.

Open to all Toyota's?

Yes sir, open to all Toyota's! At least it has been in the past, and I'm sure they didn't change anything.

Let's say all Toyotas with at least a two speed transfer case, i.e. no RAV4s or Highlanders. :)

This board doesn't cater to those types - grocery getters

Be sure to check out Jay Kopycinski's article about last year's event in the brand new July issue of Four Wheeler magazine. It just hit newstands.

Trail-Gear Inc. and 4WD Toyota Owner Magazine have both supplied some awesome raffle prizes for this year's event.

Just bumping this back to the first page.

This should be a pretty good event.

I haven't been to a EC4RJ for a year or two so I guess it's time to make another appearance; especially if the famous Allen D. will be there.

Count me in as well.
(unless some kind of roadblock pops up from life/work....)

So, Chris and Bob, you also going to the ECPR? As I understand it, it's at the same time, only at Rausch?

that is correct, though the ECPR is only Saturday but we will wheel Friday and Sunday if there are participants around.... I wheeled Friday last year...

Jeff, seems like you wheeled Friday and missed Saturday last year. Better luck this year.

Dan, I didn't realize there was a conflict. Maybe I'll find a way to hit the Pig Run and the EC4RJ.

Yeah, I'm all about the laid back approach at Rausch.I plan on arriving Thu eve 8/17, camping and wheeling Fri and Sat, leaving Sun. If I lived closer, I'd wheel Sun. But, I like to use Sunday to return, unwind, and unpack.

I would have liked to attend the EC4J and wheel with the consumate wheeler, mr Big Al, but the dates conflict. It's our bad luck, Al only wheels 2x/yr.

Jeff, just a thought - is ECPR locked on this date? Would a July date work, keeping the runs to a monthly basis? It's just that July appears open.

it would not be hard to wheel Fri. at PAP and Sat. @ Rausch.... I am open to doin that if anyone wants to... the campground for rausch is close to both parks really.... not sure how the date change would go over (plus my wife and I are expecting in July:D but I am only one person)...

Oh, if that's the case, what makes you think your wife will let you go wheeling with a baby only one month old?? You'll probably be on kp duty. :hillbilly:

On that note, I'll just stay at Rausch as mentioned.

Is the Pig Run HQ at RC or at the same campground as last year? I prefer to stay at RC but the campground would be convenient to both RC and Paragon. Either works for me.
