Jeff, Bobs got a good point. We were ousted last year because of an excess of heeps. Will you be reserving RC camping for ECPR attendees? I'd prefer to stay at RC vs 'camp awhile' myself.

Yeah, it sucks that the Pig Run is the same weekend, but we couldn't really pin down a better date. With Big Dogs, Coal Mine Cruiser Classic, the Pig Run, the Keystone Krawlers Make a Wish benefit, and probably some others I'm forgetting about, it was hard to decide when to do the EC4RJ. Still, we're hoping for a pretty good crowd.

We are still waiting for confirmation from some sponsors, but raffle prizes have been provided by:

Dan, I didn't realize there was a conflict. Maybe I'll find a way to hit the Pig Run and the EC4RJ.

OK...... THAT'S IT!

CELEBRITY DEATHMATCH!

east coast 4-runner jamboree vs. east coast pig run!

pig run takes it!

I'll probably try to hit both, but will be leaning toward Pig Run. Of course, I have seen no mention of it until now so the 4-Runner gig is definitely more organized.....

I haven’t been to a EC4RJ for a year or two so I guess it’s time to make another appearance; especially if the famous Allen D. will be there.
I prefer infamous Bob, you know that. I’ll be there. I know it will be difficult to hit both EC4RJ and ECPR, but we’d love to have you there. I’ll burn Funkytown onto a CD to play for ya! Or would you prefer "Bad to the Bone"? :D

I would like to attend the EC4RJ and wheel with the consumate wheeler, mr Big Al, but the dates conflict. It’s our bad luck, Al only wheels 2x/yr.
Gotta start holding an event at Uwharrie so I can get my count up to 3! Gone are the good ole days of twice monthly trips to GWNF and Shoe Creek. Now it’s GSMTR and EC4RJ and maybe a trip or 2 to Uwharrie each year.

It's all an illusion of organization Chris. We really have no idea what we're doing. ;)

Big Al,

Can you burn both Funkytown and BTB on a CD for me for thje ultimate wheeling/camping experience?

I can't guarantee it will sound as good as the 8-track, but I'll see what I can do!

is the latest EC4RJ raffle sponsor!

bump.

We have already contacted Red Ridge Lake and let them know to expect a large group. Just mention that you're with the Toyota group when you get there and they'll point you in the right direction.

I think we have about 30 rigs so far. I haven't really gone through all the various message boards lately to get a real good count.

It seems like we have a good mix of stock-ish trucks, moderately built weekend wheelers, and full-blown trail junk. Should be a good time. It always is.

EC4runner

Got a couple of ?'s. What kind of info do we need to give them on the pre-register ? Looking for a hotel for friday night only and plan to camp saturday. What time do the trail runs start saturday ? And do you know if any other fj's will be there ? Thanks, Newbie

Yoda,

Consider yourself registered. We are really just looking for a rough head count ahead of time. You will pay the park directly once you arrive. If you're wheeling multiple days, you'll pay for all of them at once and you'll get the discounted rate.

Check Paragon's website for info on local hotels. (www.paragonap.com). Most of the hotels are about 10 minutes from the park, so they're pretty convenient.

Trail rides will begin at about 9:00 AM each day, so please try to be at the park getting checked in by 8:30.

I don't have a list of what types of rigs are going to be there. There are a couple Cruisers, and several 4Runners, but I would guess that a really big portion of the group will be pick ups and Tacomas. (Next year we're switching it to be the East Coast Toyota Jamboree).

Hope to see you (and everyone else) there,
Jason

Hey Jason are you the 1 that lives out by GWNF ?

Nope, not me. I'm sort of on the edge on NoVA, in Fauquier county.

David (of Cornfed Suspension) lives near there, in WV. I can't think of anyone else in that area.
