hey all,

First of all, let me say how overwhelmed I was by the response to the original PARTS RUN AUSTRALIA thread. I expected a few requests for a few items, I never suspected I'd get 100 PMs, Emails and posts within the first 48 hours. Requests are still trickling in at this time, and all of your requests have been recorded on a spreadsheet, with the intention of getting as many of these parts as possible.

Due to the volume, my friend in Australia and I are definitely considering making this a several-times-a-year thing. Thus, I will be incorporating in the State of Wisconsin, and will be inquiring to Woody about getting a vendor's star. This is something "experimental." I'm not looking to quit my job and go into business against MAF or SOR, but it might be something fun to do as a side occupation.

i've taken my time in preparing for this, as the costs of doing it in a half-assed manner are much higher than doing it correctly. So there is your delay.

As I said, I was overwhelmed with the response I got, and, for the time being, there is no way I can furnish what was requested on this particular parts run.

My supplier and I have decided to keep this very small and focused. We will use it as a test bed to see how this works, and if it is worth continuing in the future.

Small, in that I have very few parts to sell. Focused in that I'm only dealing with 60 series cruisers for the time being. Those of you that requested 40 and 80 parts, don't despair: if this works out well, we will do this again.

So, what I have:

2 full float 60 series axles. Includes 3rd members, all gears, half-shafts, brake lines, and brake components. basically, these are the axles exactly as they are removed from the springs. $500

2 Sets of rear sliding windows for 60 series. $175 (also has the new bailey channel rubber kit for these, $85 optional)

H55F trans: 350,000 KM. $1400

Inclinometers: $150

Dash board grab handles: $20

Misc. interior parts for the 60: too many to list, but ask.

now, for the fun part: 2H diesel engine. 1984 350,000 KM. Includes everything, 12V alternator, PS pump, water pump, radiator, fan, shroud, wiring harness, VSV, instrument panel (metric) clutch, ac compressor, injector pump, hoses, motor mounts. essentially, it's a 2h conversion in a box.

I can get video of this engine starting, running and driving. As far as price, I am still negotiating that, but if anyone is interested, let me know. If I have someone who is interested, I can possibly use that as leverage to get the lowest price.

Now for the not fun stuff:

this equipment is all used. all of it. I will represent things to the very best of my ability. If you have questions, ask them, I will find answers. Pictures are available. in the case of the diesel, Video is available. Don't ask me whether or not something will fit: it is your job to find out. Use the search feature on this forum. I will not be held responsible if you buy something that doesn't fit.

This is sold as-is. Like I said, ask your questions and they will be answered. But in the end, you are buying at your own risk. This is the same thing you do when you buy used non-US spec stuff at SOR. They don't do returns on this stuff.

I don't have the cash flow to pay for all this stuff up front. Thus, there is a 50% deposit. If it gets here, and it turns out to be grossly misrepresented or damaged in shipping, then I'll do what needs to be done there. You are responsible for shipping from Milwaukee, WI to your location. I will do everything I can to help facilitate shipping, including dropping the parts at the freight company of your choice in the Milwaukee or Chicago area, delivering/meeting halfway within 200 miles of Beloit, WI....

shipping from australia, handling fees at the port, and customs costs are included.

may also have a 3b diesel, FF axle for the 40, a used ARB winch bull bar for the 40, and a rack for the 40 as well.

this has not yet happened, but let me know if there's interest.

Fred

I have interest in the ARB for the 40, as well as other items I'll email you. As per the inclinometer, for what years/series?

Do we need to locate our own parts, or are you working through a contact in Oz?

These parts are form my contact. If you want to locate your own stuff, I suppose that's ok, but it'll have to hitch it's own ride to my contact's place of business where the container is being loaded.

so right now, all you have is what is listed above and you're not taking "orders"

There is one tid-bit I could use for my 80. :-p

right. if you want something different, I'll write it down on the chance it's located.

sisu,
Can you post a pic of the inclinometer? What series LC did these come out of?

The clinometers are out of a 60. They go in the useless little slot that sits next to the heat/AC controls on the 60's dash.

I'm sure I've got a pic of one around here....
