Hey what do you think a 1986 HJ60 with 118,000 miles (189,000 km) is worth?
It had new paint job a few months ago, all rust was taken out, new metal welded in where needed. Looks clean, runs great. Fuel gauge is a little off, AC runs cold.
My buddy is thinking of selling it and we are trying to see what it can bring in.
Thanks for any advice

ill give 2850. i saw a couple draw significantly more than that on ebay a few months ago. if it has a us title i think it could be worth a bit more as people dont' want to mess with the importation stuff. i would guess around $6500. what tranny does it have. an h55f increases the value too.

That one is up there in the range that you might have a hard time finding a buyer who will pay you what it is "worth". I'd say maybe 6-8 if you have a lot of time to sit on it. the problem is that you can get a nice 80 in that range now too.

In the San Fran area that would fetch something in the 10k range. Might be worth a try advertising it there. It is true the 80 series can be had for that money but they ain't no diesel. Oh, and that auto is an excellent tranny.

I think 60 values have dropped right off the bottom of the scale. I have the same rig for sale with 3x the miles and none of the body work done and even though it has a $1500 suspension in it I can't get $2000 for it.

The fact that yours is already in the US helps a bunch with US buyers. Ironically with those low miles and repaired body, it might be worth more in Canada.

What is the difference between this HJ60 and my FJ60? Is it only the diesel engine?

i have seen a clean hj60 in Calgary sell for 14,500 CAD. it was at a car dealership. if its clean you can at least 10 k canadian. IMOP. defiantely not 2800. it isn't a gas pig.

:beer:

HJ60 = 2H diesel
FJ60 = 2F gasser
his HJ60 = auto
your FJ60 = 4 speed
his HJ60 = 1986 model year
your FJ60 = 1987 model year

That's all that is obvious to me at this time

10,000 grand. Hey you can always go down.

This is a special vehicle. Unique. Rare.

Ebay it.

2800? did you just smoke something? he said DIESEL, remember? :D

That was canadiandian $ - I'll pay $2000 USD. Last chance to take it off your hands...

It was the metalic blue or gunmetal blue or something.
But the new color is dark blue almost a purple in certain light. It is really a sweat cruiser .

Im thinking if i should sell my fj60 with 5 speed to buy this one. WHat is higher geard a h55f or auto?
My fj is from arizona and has NO rust. This thing has been in south Fl and canada .

What do you think the advantage 2H vs 2F?

2H is a little slower and i think it drinks fuel almost at the same rate.
BUT its STill a DIESEL

Panamá .. ! wou long thistance from our loved country ..

I already have an HJ-60 1987, and I can say, if in any moment you need to do an antyrust work .. your always need to fight with it .. ( well here, with the ocean nearest and the humidity )

Did you can buy the HJ and keep the FJ .. ?

You can't compare A440H with H55F .. H55F with 4.84 .

I mean, that if you have a Diesel engine ( with all goodness and disadvantages ) you need a manual tranny .. yes or yes .. in a 2H engine you need each pony that you can use. Trust me ..

you wana use it for serius off road .. ?
