In another post you know I was trying to figure out a rattle that started right when I got my sliders. Put the clamps around the Cats and not much happened. Started looking more carefully and I found a gap between the Slider bracket and the frame. The Bracket for the CAT comes up and mounts to the Frame. The slider bracket goes right on top and creates close to 1/8" gap. On the other side of the slider bracket, there is a weld on my frame for another bracket. So this slider bracket can have a slight air pocket under it.

Seems based on the location of that weld and the CAT bracket that this would be a generic problem no matter whose slider was installed. More dependent on the vehicle it is mounted to.

I stuck some cardboard in there and it quited down a lot. I am going to take it to Christo to look at sometime over the next few weeks.

SO, if you have a Passenger slider that is vibrating. Please go look and see if you have a similar set-up. I have read that everyones sliders do this on SOME vehicles on the pass side only via a search.

I would be curious to see if everyone who has this issue has a similar setup.

Forgot the pic. On the other side (out of pict) the same slider bracket is up against a weld

Out of focus, but closer shot of the Cat Bracket under the slider bracket

Other side of same slider bracket where it butts up to(possibly on?) weld for diff bracket. Sorry about the focus

Ken, are those sliders bolted to the frame instead of welded?

Yes they are bolted. You can see the U bolts in the pic

I stuck the cardboard up in the gap (not permanent fix) and drove around all night and it was quiet. This may just be the cause of my problem, but I think I got it figured out. I'll drive it a few more days and if it stays quiet. I'll take it up to Christo to look at.
