HJ60 Multiple heater fuses?

Hey!

I am sure it's not the fuses. There is a coil resistor that regulates the settings, it sits inside the blower unit right next to your right foot. take it out, as far as I remember (it's 4-5 years since I made this repair) there are 3 coils, one of them probably burned over. The blower motor is regulated by letting the current pass through 3 of these (lowest step) 2 (medium) or 1 (almost full blow) or none (full bow)
I took some stainless wire, same gauge, and made a new one by rolling it around a pencil taking care to replicate the number of coils on the original one.
I know there is some speciel alloy (constantan???) that would be the pro choice, but it worked for me!
Hope this helps :)

none

None of the blower needs to be removed. Just look under the dashboard by the drivers right leg, above the gas pedal. You will see a plug with 4 wires (if I remember right) the plug goes into the resistor. Then remove two screws and remove the resistor.

The wires are likely Nichrome, not stainless.

You can repair it with a ceramic resistor (can't remember the values) that you can pick up at Radio Shack. You can also get them at the dealer.

Two screws and one plug to remove. Easy to do.

Sorry I was a bit slow to answer, others have done it for me! :)
