Hey guys! Whats up?

well i finally decided on the toyos. my only dilema was picking what size to get. so i went with the 315s!!! i needed tires bad and wanted a good set of tires. i had pro comps a/ts.:o my rig is a weekend warrior so i wanted an aggressive tire for off road and a good tire for pavement. tha toyo seemed to fit my needs. my only problem was that i needed rims also. these tires are not cheap! one of my rims was bent which made it a horrible ride on the highway. i needed new rims but wanted factory aluminum wheels. i was even considering buying steelies but didnt want them because of the weight issue with the toyos. everywhere i looked online the factory wheels were too expensive. i remembered a tire/rim place that took old rims on trade. so i went down there and looked for 80 wheels. they had all kinds of factory wheels! i think i was there for 45min and almost gave up. lo and behold i found some polished ones for $350. i asked him what he would give me for my old set of wheels and tires and he told me $250! so i bought the rims and traded the old ones. i didnt like the polished look so i painted them black with eng block paint. so there it is tires were a pretty penny and the rims were dirt cheap! so here are pics of them freshly mounted and trail tested.:popcorn:

Those turned out awesome! like your painted wheel idea, nice touch for sure.

more pics. it rubbed a bit on the rear flare and mud flap. i trimmed a little off and solved that but it does rub on the inside of the fender well.

I agree the wheels look great.
Are you running factory gears with those 315's? If so how's the power?

Sweeet!! Came real close to buying those myself...ended up with the Firestone Destination M/Ts in 285/75/R16 mainly because of price. We'll see how they work out. So far the left rear has already survived a 1" screw in the tread. Can't wait to get out and wheel!

I lke the colour combo of balck on white. Nice looking truck! (the tires too!)

Very nice looking, and their performance is incredible, I just wonder how much noise you get on the pavement!

The reviews are great it seem like this is the tire to get right now!

As for the wheels they look fantastic!

A very good decision!

Congratulations!

With 315's, what kind of lift do you have on the truck?

I'm looking into the same tires now on my cruiser but they don't have 315s in Kuwait so I might have to order them! The tire salesman wanted to sell me 265/75R16 and I laughed!

As for the wheels, you would have had fun getting them here! Average price for 1 old wheel for an 80 is about $30! I went out and got myself one after I installed the spare wheel bridge on the bottom of my cruiser!

BTW I really like your roof rack! ;)

Looks great man. I like the way you left the inner part of the wheel polished.

Cruiser80

Looks great 2nd on what lift you are running.

Thanks

Mark

good looking truck!

Cruiser80 -

I love the wheels, I have been thinking about doing that to mine when I get them converted to beadlocks. For all the others from his ROTW write-up:

ome heavy/mediums 2.5in lift kit

great results on the wheels. works well with the black/white/chrome scheme. 3rd on what lift you re running.

I do not want to answer for him, however it is my understanding that he is using the 2.5" OME suspension, heavies in front and mediums on back!:o

cruiser80,

How would you rate the noise level of your new tires?
