***SOLD*** FS in Ohio: Clean '87 FJ60
141,000 miles
Engine replaced 20,000 miles ago with High Performance 2F engine built and installed by Cruiser Guru Jim Chenoweth of TLC Performance.
New clutch master and slave cylinders
Fresh clutch, release bearing and pilot bearing
Magnetic inline power steering filter
New cat back Toyota exhaust
Reman brake master cylinder
Fresh front brakes and hubs
The interior is in very good condition, and the upholstery is in good condition. The dash has a few small cracks in it, typical for a Cruiser of this era. I have replaced the driver’s side seat foam with the nice piece from Specter Off-Road. I also modified the driver’s seat for 3” of additional leg room. I added a Wilderness roof rack to carry additional gear and upgraded the rear springs to some new Habu lift springs from Man-A-Fre. I also installed new Heckethorn shocks all round. The truck is riding on 33x9.5" BFG All-Terrains that I installed last December. They are great on and off-road and track straight and quiet.
Mechanically the truck is in very good condition and has been a reliable daily driver. There is a bit of driveline slop, but I had Jim Chenoweth check it out and he couldn't find anything other than normal wear. Oil has been changed religiously and the cooling system is in great condition. The cruiser runs very cool. A/C will need some work to get it back up to snuff. Jim said it worked when he added refrigerant, but he could see it leaking out of the rear of the compressor.
The truck was originally titled in Florida, and spent most of its life in Florida and New Mexico. It is in excellent condition, but the typical Cruiser rust is just starting to show up. It has a few lumps and bumps from off-road adventures, but they are very minor. You can drive the truck home from Columbus, Ohio with no worries. Price is $6,500.00 USD.
