Well the east coast mountains finally finished off the drivers side rear flare. Duck tape was the only thing holding it on prior to the tree. You've got to love those tight trails. This gave me an excuse to chunk the remaining flares for a slimmer ride in the woods.

I did the usual removal of all of the bumpers, sliders, etc and turned it over to the Line-X man. What a pain in the ass to remove the side molding. That accounted for 95% of my time in the process. I was a little woried at first as to how it would turn out, but in the end I am very pleased. The pics don't do it justice.

Man that is so slick looking.. My fav color 80.....

looks really good i especially liek the lined strip dont see that often and the matching hub caps as well. Great job:cheers:

Very cool. I like the black center caps the Line-X helps them pop out more.

VERY cool with the moulding void done in black. I have the same truck and always wondered how it would look Line-X'd...thanks for posting pics.

Trapper- your rig is so beautiful it almost makes me regret passing up a sage 40th for a black LX.

I got lucky on the price. It was the first time he had tried something like this. Mostly had done your standard bedliner stuff and some rocker panels. He charged me right at $300. That includes tax, labor, and everything. It took about 3 hours total to do. The materials aren't what get you, its the labor to tape every thing off.

Oh, the rubber antenna works pretty well. I get just as good reception with it as I did with stock. It really shines in the woods, when I don't have to worry about it being ripped off.

nice

are the tires sticking out much beyond the body side?

They stick out an inch or two from the body. I'll shoot a pic this afternoon.

Wow what a good deal...
My durabak costed me $30 off ebay and 2 hours to do

You could buy some tires at Pep Boys for $99 for four also, but that doesn't mean that they are the same as MT/Rs. The differences between Line-X and Durabak are just as significant. I have roll-on Herculiner in the bed of my pickup and it is junk compared to the spray-in liners.

And obviously the difference between our wallets are just as significant.:D

Is line-x really more expensive than durabak or is the bulk of $300 going to labor?
I've seen spray-on liners peel on the sides of 80's. But I'm sure a pro could do a better job than me, or can they?

This is getting chatty. Remember, he was asked how much it was. I don't see the point in dumping on him.

That is the best looking line-x Cruiser I have seen!

Tech: How much was it and did you do the masking?;)

very nicely done!
