I have the same issue. Forum reading leads me to believe a connection is bad. The signal from the ignition/neutral safety switch isn't delivering the required current to turn the starter. There are mods that bypass that signal with a relay or solenoid as that wire is buried in the main...
Rising sun is legit, if they said that's the cost then that's the cost. There's also overland cruisers, but not going to be any cheaper. Lots of active members in the 406 cruisers clubhouse forum. They may have leads on another mechanic or a spot to work. I've lent my garage to traveling...
Bad ground somewhere. Some things are switched on the ground side in toyota. If my rear defroster is on ,I have wierd electrical issues. My dash lights will stay on with ignition off until I turn the defroster off.
I also have similar set up but with delta arms. Landtank double cardan quieted it down a little. My rear drive shaft was the real culprit. Take it apart and make sure the splines are greased well.
How do you like the LED? I'm about to do a conversion and wonder why most go HID. Are the LED newer? So not as common? Have you seen any Hid conversions next to your LED?
Another potential wire short happens behind/under the glove box. The main harness into the ecu rubs. It happened to me and stuck injector 6 on. Tons of fuel in the exhaust.
I've been trying to get my rear diff lock working again. The plugs had ripped out. And it needed the internals cleaned. I spliced back in and was still non functional. I traced it to another bad plug. Replaced that and still non functional. I can get it to actuate directly from the battery...
90980-11290 (splices: 82998-12440)
I'm replacing a rear actuator plug. I used these part numbers posted by cdan in an old thread.
I didn't order the splices as they are $ 10 a piece. Another member suggested Ballenger motorsports. I think I found the right part including the wires for a...
When I did an axle swap, unlocked to locked, the seller of the locked paid me $500 for the pair of unlocked. That was 7 years ago. In my current situation, if I had an axle taking room in my garage I'd probably give it away.
I need to repair my rear locker. Both plugs are ripped off the actuator. I have the correct new housings but not the terminals splices. Is aftermarket ok? Toyota wants $10 bucks each. That's another $80.
Thanks
