Ok, So here is the final answer you have all been dying for
Climbed the same hill on Sunday twice, first time left it in drive and truck went up fine, no problem, No CDL needed. Second time put it in 1 and again crawled right on up without the CDL engaged. Conclusion is that the...
Yes to the drive shaft ? and yes to the Drive plate ?
Got my bird today so I have the rest of the week to climb up and down the damn hill and try to recreate the problem. stay posted :p
Doug, Yea I know I can put the transfer case into low range, but the hill in my opinion didn't call for that. I'm thinking it has to do with the me puttting it in 2 that caused the issue. Going to try it again later this week and just leave it in Drive and see what happens
yea, I know it can't get out of its own way. Just running stock set up. 31X10.5 no other drive train mods. Hmm, I'm off for the next 3 days to hunt turkeys so I guess I'll play around with it if I get time. Thanks for all of the input, as always its much appreciated.
TO Clarify, it was the dash mounted CDL that was pushed, I always put it in Nuetral or park whe I engage this, just a habit from the old Ford truck days i guess. Truck runs fine with no noise in H range, normal power, Just went through the drive train, UV's and replaced them, brand new Birf's...
All right, so what is the biggest you can go on the Stock springs with the stock 15" wheels. Currently running 31X10.5 and would like to fill in the gap a bit
I've noticed this a couple of times now and am a little curious. Here in Western WI we are pretty low when it comes to Sea level. We do have some bluffs along the Mississippi though that are releatively high. ANyway a couple of times I have been driving up a fairly steep grade and my truck seems...
I got the outside sensoe replaced on Sun. re-cut the threads on the stud and all is good. Could not get the inside one out at all. Nuts are pretty much gone so there is nothng I can do there. tried to pound it off with a cold chisel, no luck. Spraued the hell out it w/PB blaster again and will...
no. I stopped at the hardware store and got em. 8 8x1.25 nuts. Stopped at sears and got a metric die set. should be good to go. Snowing like crazy here.
Yea that would be fine except i need to do this job today. I can't keep driving around with a big hole in the exhaust. I'm going to stop and get a die set so I can clean up the threads this morning. I'm going to pick up some 12 mm and 10 mm nuts. and see what happens
Question, What size are the studs? i have to buy new nuts and want to get the correct size. Also I ordered new sensors from C-dan the part numbers are different, does it matter which sensor goes where? If so which goes where? Thanks, I'm going to do this this weekend.

Ok, figured where the leak was coming from. Coming back from lunch today I downshifted to merge into traffic and the outside O2 sensor blew right out of the pipe. Now its really loud. Guess I don't have to struggle with that one. Can't figure it out, the threaded studs are still there but the...
