This sounds promising. It's the first thread I found in starting to research clock springs. My cruise, airbag and horn just quite while on the trail, so it looks like I'm on the hunt for a clock spring. Do we know what the original 80 series p/n and this Corolla p/n are for the clock spring?
I have been contemplating this since my OBA is right at the driver's window and LX only has one sliding window there. I don't like the idea of having to unlock both latches every time. What about using a cam latch with rods that go to the sides? More complicated to fab, but easier to operate...
I could use one for my cameras. I am switching them so that they are not on all the time. I am installing a front facing and backup camera. Something like this icon would be great, thanks in advance.
Dissent, sounds like your in AZ. If you haven't already, meet up with the CSC guys/gals (I rarely make the meets myself, as my BSA Troop camp outs usually leave the same night) on the 3rd Friday of the month in Tempe. You can then see all types of different ways to do lifts. From body lifts...
We truly are blessed here in the Phoenix area to have Camelback Toyota. The Service Manager is a 'cruiser and he has an AWESOME parts staff. If they don't have it, they will get it. Usually overnight and at great prices. Sorry CDAN, I've heard great things about you and yours, but with Murf...
I found it in my picture archive, it is a picture I saved a few years ago, but I can't find where I got it from. Does anybody recognize this truck or bumper?
Is this a dead idea? I haven't seen any updates since early in the year. I'd be interested as I found this thread looking to see about fitting a Tuffy in 80. But looking at how the standard 8" Tuffy fits, I'd be happy with that but would love to have one that fit properly and allowed for my...
I know about SOR, GT and all the others. This is specificlly about Marathon Seat Covers. Has anybody ever actaully purchased them? If so, what were your impressions?
Supercamera, can you create a route while you drive it? I guess if you can't load a route, will it make one while your driving it and save it for future use?
Also does anybody know if the Kenwood will allow for control of XM, Crutchfield specs say Sirius.
So to sum up this thread that has spanned over 1.5 years, the Tundra HO alternator will bolt right up, but a new adjuster bracket needs to be fabbed. (anybody ever get pics of this?) Also there is still the issue of the 4th wire and it's purpose on the Tundra alternator, Bjowett gives us the...
I agree, steel mesh is for Jeeps who can't go offroad anyways for fear of breaking something. The plastic would do a much better job. My only concern is how well they will stand up to the heat/UV out here. Plastic has a tendency to get brittle and cheap plastic will even turn brown and...
Brake lines arrived today, I'm impressed. I kinda expected a cheesy rubber hose with some pretty decrotive wire braid over them. These are quality lines!!
Last night we swapped the front pads, didn't make any diffrence, still pulling left. I ordered the new brake lines from Slee today. I want to replace those and see what happens, even before hitting the rotors with the brake friendly Scotchpads (why do they call them Scotchpads? Try as I...
Hey all, we just replaced the front pads, rotors and bled the brakes on my '96. The truck was pulling left during braking afterwards, so we rebuilt the front calipers. Now it is still pulling left. It does it when the truck gets between 25-30 MPH while braking. Above that it brakes true...
93-95s with that many miles are going from $3200-$6000 here in AZ all the time. I'd think you'll have trouble getting $7k for it.
As for using a 40 for a DD, never. Not with leaf springs, no power steering, no AC, and no power nothin.
I think you've answered your own question and don't realize it. It's the heat that kills. Use the silicone hose, it takes the high temps. The bulging is a symptom of the problem, not the cause.
Plus isn't it possible adding metal bands isn't going to dispate heat, but rather transfer more...
