There is a guy on ebay who is selling 23' in a kit of one 11' and one 12' length for $44 + shipping. I bought a few and it got my per foot price down to $2.17...I will use the extra to wire the trailer. All tinned copper, marine wire.
I know 1/0 is overkill...is overkill a bad thing where...
Great information here.
Blue Sea 7622 ordered @ $169 delivered, marine 1/0 cable ordered ($2.17 per foot delivered...zing)
Various other tidbits ordered...$45.
Already did a more simplistic version in my 80 a few years back, but I am puting this in my 40 and I will post pics if you folks...
Follow up:
Everything completed as above. Also used red, HIGH TEMP loc-tite.
Multiple trips, hard driving, braking, long downhill grades, etc...
Not one drop leaked so far and the brakes function better than they ever have.
Hope this helps anyone considering this task.
just saw a nice 1993 in central, ca this morning for $4500.

I am going to do a thorough and complete cleaning / rebuild with the standard rebuild kit from Toyota and...I am going to tear apart the main motor housing, clean it, grease it and put new o-rings all around.
Before I catch a bunch of crap, like I did when I split my brake calipers, it is...
not really loose... and, the races look and feel pretty good.
just don't want to drop another 100+ bones if it is not necessary.
I am OCD, but not that OCD...
About 5 years ago, I got a bumber from 4x4 labs, drove up to have it installed...
Ladder was incorrect (accidentally made to 60 dimensions) and, within about 3 hours, Luke had the thing re-cut, re-welded and re-powdercoated to make things perfect. Been awesome ever since.
Mistakes...
that pit is a ding from the brass punch used to knock them out (my mistake). does not affect the movement at all.
that is how the metal of the cage was when I originally got the bearings...not pitted at all, more like the design of the metal from casting or something.
All parts were cleaned, rust removed, new rebuild kit.
used "green grease" which is a synthetic waterproof grease.
maybe keep the rust down.
going to reassemble and torque to 61 ft lbs.
will report back if there are leaks, etc.
thanks for the input.
Found my FSM and the torque for a "14 mm diameter" flange with no markings is 61 ft lbs.
Does this mean the diameter of the actual bolt or the head?
Because, if a 14 mm head has a 10 mm bolt, the torque is only 21 ft lbs, and that does not seem like enough for a set of calipers.
it is a 14mm head...
about 3".
there is no torque spec in the manual for those bolts because I was not supposed to split the caliper.
so, I just need the standard for that bolt, then I will crank it up a notch or two since it is a brake.
I have them at 70 ft lb now and they...
