How to Replace Oil Pump seal w/ Pics

Finally got around to doing this after having the new gasket and seal for over a year. Overall went smoothly except for one of the pump cover screws. On the second screw my Phillips bit sheared and got stuck in the screw. Had to basically drill it out and then use a speed out to remove it...

    6 Week Mod/Maint List

I've never made the trip to Houston but I know alot of people from that area and it doesn't seem like too bad of a drive. I know of at least one other person in my area that would probably be interested in a get together for birfs and just sharing ideas as he just got his 80 about a month ago...

    6 Week Mod/Maint List

Hey tarbe, where in Texas? I'm in Waco but I'm from Tenn and helped a guy out earlier this year with the birfs and have been meaning to get around to mine as well. I'm certainly not a mentor but I've done the process and have a feel for how it goes. Matt TLCA #13814

    Mud Flap Trimming?

Doc - the dog used to be a hunting dog and is only one of our 5 dogs. Fortunatly she's the only one that does this but she's chewed lights off of boat trailers and just about anything that sits in the driveway. Lurker - that is exactly what I had in mind just wanted to see how it actually...

    Mud Flap Trimming?

Haha yeah the little bastard used to just chew the shingles off the side of the house but moved on to cars. So far she's managed to chew my mudlfaps and trailer wiring. The sour apple spray seems to be like seasoning to that dog. The bobbed set is exactly what I'm thinking I'd love to see what...

    Mud Flap Trimming?

After parking outside all summer my lab managed to chew through both of my rear mudflaps and one front one. I remember seeing a while back that people had trimmed their mudflaps to a certain point to make them shorter and I was wondering if anyone had some pictures of how they did it and what...

    Proportioning Valve Question

Thanks a ton, there's still a clear line of where it was from the factory so I will go from there.

I hear water inside my truck...

I've heard about these drain holes and plugs for a long time but have never been able to ID them on my truck. Does anyone happen to have a picture of them so I would know what to look for in going about clearing them out?

    Proportioning Valve Question

Several months ago I installed the OME medium load suspension that lifted the truck about 2.5''. When I did the install I wasn't sure about the proportioning valve and only adjusted it a few mm (to tell the truth I don't even remember how much). I've noticed since then there's been alot more...

Successful knuckle rebuild -- now a couple questions

And while you're measuring that preload make sure you're reading the fish scale in pounds not kg's! (Ask us how we know :slap:)

Successful knuckle rebuild -- now a couple questions

I'm not sure about the wheel bearings but I helped someone rebuild their knuckles this past weekend and I seem to remember the range for the knuckle bearing preload to be 5.5-9.9 lbs. Hopefully someone will confirm me on that. How many miles are you at? I'm about to do my birf repack/knuckle...

    Steering knuckles

Yeah I've the pictures from Rookie2's knuckles and he's overdue for one. I'm just starting to get some buildup and I don't want to wait much longer either at 130k. If you want to join us we could all three get together in Knoxville and get it done at the same time early this summer...

    Hydraulic vs Electric

Do you have to modify your ARB in order for the 8274 to work with it? I was considering one but didn't know if it would fit in with the ARB.

    Caster Correction Bushings

I've been running the OME 2.5" medium load springs for about a year now and have finally decided that it is pretty scary sometimes on the interstate and I want to put in the caster correction bushings. I don't have a press or many tools although I was able to do springs and shocks myself, so...
