Checked fuel trims with an Ultragauge. Simple plug-in device that displays a vehicles engine temp, RPMs, etc. not sure how accurate it is for fuel trim readings.
Yes, I went from 2 cats to the Magnaflow downpipe with 1 cat on my 97- seems hotter after single cat. I still have the heat shield in place, as well. What ST and LT fuel trim readings are you seeing at idle and on the highway?
I’ve had pretty good luck with Amayama and Partsouq. Partsouq is fast delivery to Midwest US- about a week average from the orders I’ve placed. Not as fast as Amazon, but pretty darn good by pre-Amazon standards.

I’m thinking about replacing a vacuum line under my upper intake. It’s the thicker line that runs out of the front of the blue VSV and does a quick 90 degree before it goes into the throttle body. I don’t want to remove upper intake. It looks like I can remove the black steel bracket that...
Yep, cleaned old MAF w/ no change. Tried a new OEM MAF and no change. Today, she’s idling around 8% LTFT and about the same / maybe a little higher on the higway. She’s happy today.
In partsouq diagram lookup looks like it’s called a fuel vent hose, which makes sense to me since it runs to charcoal canister. Wondering if this old vent hose could cause a fuel starvation problem or a vac leak?
I did find what looks like a thicker vacuum line under the upper intake that looks original and crusty. Pretty disappointed b/c I paid a mechanic to pull intake about a year ago and he agreed to replace all the vacuum lines while under there. I’ll post a pic of the vac line- it runs off the...
