My 40 is done sir!...and by that I mean the suspension... and the best of it, it works!

Interesting notes on this thread...
I completely forgot and today I started reading about the rebuild.
I am on the fence on a full rebuild on the 1FZ for my 80 or drop an Ls motor in it.
We'll see...
Great project.
totally agree w/ something special about driving these things!
I had the same thought 2 years ago!...wanted something cheap and gas saver.
what I did, I bought myself an Old Dodge w/ a Cummins A.K.A. LA Paloma(Dove for you white folks) with the intentions of only be a tow rig!
gas...
I just did the conversion on my 93 to r134. Autozone sales the valves to convert to r134. As it is, they sale a kit w/ valves for r134 plus the free on. Whenever you asked for the expansion valve if the 93 don't fit ask for the 92... that was my case
I just change a new compressor from autozone , expansion valve & Filter (thing w/ glass) and a whole cleaned up of the A/c and it does not cool enough. it just to be cold before it went out.
I went to check the glass you're talking about and I see some bubbles on mind
I am not too sure yet but my theory is that the ABS is not working as it should.
my truck is a 93 and is making like snoring noise on occasion. The more I drive her, the more often that it does it.
it was working fine until Tuesday, I pulled a trailer w/ a not so heavy load. it was may be...

My truck has the 2.5 ome and I kind have the same question. here's a link to a 850J front and 863's rear

I have 93 DD w/2.5 lift and 285's a 79 40w/ 37's Mtr's in the process of changing to 1 ton drivetrain. I love the 80.nice ride but kind a too big for wheeling. I wheel the 93 at Ramble and I liked it and enjoyed it a lot. Ran 3 and 4 trail it did good and more then what I expected.
The 40 it's...
I did not think you could do this.I got the reg 850's up front and running 285's Nittos. I want to move up to 315's but I did not want to do the whole 4" lift. This is a great Idea. I already have the extended Slee brake lines and some sort of caster correction that came w/ the 2.5 Ome lift. I...
damn I am getting scare from all this comments.
All I got it's missin coolant. I have look around and no signs of leak.
I only saw once a coolant leak from the driver side on the radiator but could not see where it was coming from.. Stop using the truck for a month and then used it again...
Well have in mind guys that our cruisers use/consume oil, This means that ocassionally we have to check if the oil level it's where it shoud be. when the eng. oil light goes on, it's nothing more then you need to add some oil. It's on the manual, you might want to check that.
Picture this...
Alexander26 read post #2 & #7
I did exactly that. I change the oil a day before the trip to Orlando, FL. about ~1300 miles one way. I checked the oil level every day and no oil consumtion at all. We got back home and drove the truck for a week, my comute its about 10 miles per day, and it...
Wdf175, I have the same issues on a 94 & a 93 he! he! I just bought the 93. We just went to Orlando 3000 miles plus round trip and no oil usage at all, it was all perfect. I did check the oil everyday of the trip, it didn't needed anything at all. We came back and used the truck for about a week...
