I have two plates. One I suspect goes above the steering box to deflect heat from manifold. The other is 2x as big and goes near the starter and under the fuel pump. Does anyone have PHOTOS of these in place to see where it is bolted in an configuration Thank you in advance, Kevin
I have those two manuals but they are not complete breakdowns of every part of the vehicle. Lots of times there was a dealer service manual that would show breakdowns of every detail. Maybe Toyota never did this?
Does such a manual exist? One that shows a schematic of every item on the vehicle. I have the for old Saabs, Volvos, IHC etc. Hard to believe there is not one out there or a place to buy a copy. Also any photos of under the seat in a FJ45. All the different hooks and clasps but no place to...
I have a 64 FJ40. I got new wheel cylinders to install. The manual shows only the driver side layout. The passenger side is opposite to the manual. Question? how does one know which cylinder to put up and which one down. Does it matter. Is it different for front versus rear? Is there a trailing...
maybe the timing pointer provides just enough of a barrier. I got a plug from a 235 Chevrolet which is what the Japanese based the engine off of but it is not a good fit. Too small.
Any sources for the square plug that goes in the bellhousing. This is the timing hole with a pointer inside to see flywheel. I can't imagine that a plug was not standard. Invites mice to get in and build nests and ruin the pressure plate.
Does anyone have a source for this boot. Also need the square plug for bell housing where the timing pointer is viewed. Best source for rear main seal too.
Any experience with this procedure. Have engine out and will do clutch TOB, PP etc. How complex is the rear main seal replacement? Can it be done one piece from the outside.
These are riveted into the frame rails. Looking for piece from steering box back to rear of cab on pick up. Both sides. These plates are on-INSIDE of frame and have a series of 2-3 inch holes along the length. Thank you in advance.
