Ideas on repairing my rear frame cross-member after a tweak..?

lcwizard, that is truly outstanding, but comes as little surprise...having dealt with you in the past. Your quality and insight have helped me through a number of issues. Just to be clear, in no way did I mean to infer that the 4Plus was, in any way, the reason for this problem. More to the...

    post your soft top/bikini tops!!

It is just better than anything I have ever had. Hard to explain...never been too loose at all. It fits perfect and still hangs like it did when I got it almost 3 years ago. No shrink, no stretch and still no fade. I spray 303 on it every year and keep it out of the sun when not in use, but...

Ideas on repairing my rear frame cross-member after a tweak..?

They are extender sleeves to get the bumper out a bit from the back of the rig...about 1" long. The bumper is attached with #8 bolts that went through the frame and there are 12 total. I had not extended the trailer tongue yet and was using one of those extensions to get the trailer back an...

Ideas on repairing my rear frame cross-member after a tweak..?

Yes, fuel tank will be dropped. Story is not that exciting. I was camping with my boy and was making a sharp turn off of a highway onto a gravel road. Could not quite make it, so I backed up very slowly and carefully for a 2 point, and then turned down onto the road. No different than I had...

Ideas on repairing my rear frame cross-member after a tweak..?

Does not appear to be. That being said, very hard to tell with the naked eye. Everything seems to line up correctly.

Ideas on repairing my rear frame cross-member after a tweak..?

That was the idea with the 1/4" or 1/2" plate on the face of the cross-member. Except clean up the face and then weld the plate on, effectively covering the whole rear of the cross-member with new, fresh steel. Then, drilling and mounting bumper back on that.

Ideas on repairing my rear frame cross-member after a tweak..?

Couple of weeks ago I got jacked up with my trailer and, to my amazement, the receiver on my 4Plus swing-out was compromised, along with my rear frame cross-member behind it. Had to cut the bolts and extensions to get the bumper off. Now, I suppose I will cut the receiver off of the bumper and...

    Hi!

Nice...mustard is sweet but I like white. Those emblems on the back should come off prior to paint...no? Knobs and dash hardware too.

    Best Soft Top Protectant

There is dispersed information spread all over the place, but one of the most informative threads has been deleted, or at least I cannot find it. Looking for a list of the best spray-on canvas / Sonnendeck UV and water protectants for our soft tops. When I first got my top, I bought some...

Here is mine... I used the 4plus bracket, it is the one that used to be sold by man-a-fre, but now can be had direct from the man...HIGHLY recommended... http://www.4plusproducts.com/fj40batterytrays.html Side note, we had to modify the bracket slightly to fit with my oversized alternator...
