I tried ordering from Iron Pig. They refused to sell me the parts because they do not ship to Florida. That sucks. So I am now having to find what I need somewhere else. .
Are you saying that 70 series tie rods and tie rod ends will simply bolt right up to my 80 series pitman arm ,be the right lenght for proper turning radius and fit my 40 series steering arm on the other side ? That would be too good to be true!
I have access to 70 series parts. Which parts do you advise I look for ? Is there a particular year that works better ? By the way, thanks for the answer.
Quick question, I did this conversion on my 78 fj40. I reused the original linkage from the 40 series. 2 issues came out of that: 1)seems to me that the linkage going from the pitman arm to the passenger side wheel is too short, not allowing for the wheels to swing fully to the right.
