i have one in a box in Libby. I plan to use this later this summer or fall if I can get time to paint my project and finish it up. I got it from SOR a year ago. do you ever come over this way?
bull,
how many miles on the rebuild?
did they go all the way through it?
burning oil? miles per gallon?
do you have any better pics of the rust?
killer deal .... they are getting 4K just for rebuilding the motor over here.
heather, I have had good luck taking the motors apart, cleaning the motor armature and brushes with very fine sandpaper and applying a little grease and oil here and there.
The factory service manual can get a litttle confusing but I have even had luck with taking apart washer pump motors and...
yes I need also, seems like we could find some that are similar that are sold for similar model. I know they are larger than the reflectors on my 78 fj40.
Yep, I also figured this out, found an old corroded one and actually repaired it and works perfect with an old toyota key. but then I found that I don't have the ..always hot 12v...to the switch ...dadburnit... haven't found the problem yet.
the dash switch works fine. I've studied the wiring...
both of mine are toast, non repairable. Spector probably has one if you're rich.
surely not essential . the small inset picture shows the canadian short rubber hose that is used in place of the accordian usa model.
this piece you are interested in looks similar to a 4 runner fuel filler...
tried to fix it today, tumbler corroded by the time I got it worked free it was super loose and wire broke from solder and couldn't get it to resolder.
looking for a window switch that goes in middle of the tailgate. It has 3 wires that go to the junction board. Need one with a key that works. or has anybody ever checked to see if toyota still supplies?
or has anybody ever found a different replacement that works?
thanks for any help
